John Gronski had the opportunity to provide an Iron-Sharpened Leadership Workshop to over 120 college-aged counselors at YMCA Camp Woodstock, CT. Many of the young counselors came from all across the United States as well as around the world.

The workshop was very interactive and included breakout sessions that provided the opportunity for the workshop participants to discuss a variety of techniques to leverage leadership attributes essential for cultivating trust in small teams.

The counselors came away with many skills and take-aways for growing trust with their teams to include keeping the focus on helping and serving others while placing self-interest aside, staying connected with the team and being in the moment, taking the time to get to know the team members personally and leveraging that information to make the camping experience more productive, and ensuring any promises made to teammates were kept.
